I started using Slack few months back and I find it very useful as I can easily collaborate and work with my colleagues. I am thinking to suggest this tool to my management and so every team can start using it. Now that I may have to include my leaders to the workspace to show them the features, I think I have make some changes in the workspace name and channel name. Can you guide me on how we can modify the names?

First off, keep in mind that you will not be able rename the workspace and the channel names, if you do not have admin access to your Workspace and Channel.
If you have administrative access, read on to easilyhow to modify the workspace name and channel names.
Modify Slack workspace Name & URL
- Open your slack and click on your Workspace in the left.
- Hover on to Settings & administration and select Workspace settings.
- You will be taken to your Workspace admin page URL.
- Under Settings tab, scroll to the bottom where you can see Workspace Name & URL.
- Click on Change Workspace Name & URL.
- Here you can modify the Name and the URL for your workspace.
- Once you are done with the modifications, hit Save Changes.
Rename Slack channel (first option)
There are two different ways to modify the channel name in slack. Choose any one on your choice.
- Open your Slack, right click on the channel name that needs to be modified and select Additional options.
- Select Rename this channel.
- Update the channel with appropriate name and then click on Rename Channel.
Change Slack channel name (second option)
- Open the channel and select the Info icon on top right.
- Click on More icon and select Rename channel.
- Update the channel with appropriate name and then click on Rename Channel.
