How to hide my tweets from specific people following me on Twitter?

| March 7, 2011 | 2 Comments

Here’s a question from Laila,

I want to hide some of my tweets from my Twitter followers. How can I do that?

Thanks for your question, Laila. Unfortunately, there is no way that you can hide your tweets from your Twitter followers. We can only suggest that if you really don’t want people to see something, just don’t tweet it. Smile

Twitter is designed from the ground-up to be a public status and link sharing system, and its developers are focused on keeping it that way. Of course, you can make your profile private, so that your tweets won’t be publicly visible, but your followers will still be able to see them. One cannot follow a private profile without exclusive approval of the profile owner, so your followers in a private profile are people who you can trust and confide in.

To make your profile private, sign in to Twitter, go to Your username –> Settings (on the top right corner), and select the Protect my tweets option at the bottom of the Setting page.
