Blogs are usually a public thing; however, under some circumstances you would want to keep your blogs private. In that sense, MySpace is flexible than Facebook as it gives a variety of options for privacy of blogs. If you do not know how to set the privacy of your blogs, here’s a very quick overview on privacy settings for MySpace blogs:

1.	For each post, you can set the accessibility of your blog to people by clicking the privacy level to a multiple of available options.

2.	If you select Friends then only your friends can view your blog, Diary if you do not want to share your post with anyone, Public if you want it to be available to anyone on the net and Preferred List where friends who are in your preferred lists can view your blogs.

This is pretty much it.

When you open your MySpace account, you are able to pick a custom url suffix that directs to your profile. Now what if you want to simply change that MySpace assigned default URL? That’s not really possible. Here are your choices:
1)	You can create a new MySpace profile account and hence a new URL as well. Once you do this, you can add all you friends on this account and recreate all the information again. Of course, this means reworking on all your settings and preferences that you would like to have in your new account.

2)	You can also enable an auto-forward option on your old account such that once you click it; it would automatically load your new MySpace URL. To do this you should be proficient in programming languages like HTML.

Code to put your about me blurbs in a scroll box

Question:

Nikki asks: Hello there! I was wondering, is there a scrollbox code for the About Me section on Myspace 2.0 profiles? I’ve tried codes, but I can’t seem to get them to work.

Answer:

Thanks for your question, Nikki. Yes, you can make your about me blurbs text scroll on MySpace 2.0 wby using a very simple chunk of CSS code.

Please go ahead and post the required code into the CSS section of your MySpace 2.0 profile (by clicking on Copy) from the following widget. You might want to look into our detailed instructions for implementing 2.0 codes.

div.blurbsModule div.blurbAboutMe {overflow:auto; height:120px;}

BTW – Many readers also asked how they can scroll the details area. I have provided an answer for that here.
