Can i delete the vc_red file off my PC?

What is the ‘vc_red’ file in my PC? Could it be a virus? I am freaking out, please help me.

Thanks for the question. The vc_red file is pretty harmless. When you install some software, they’ll need Microsoft Visual C++ which is  installed in your Microsoft Windows based personal computer. vc_red is a one of the very vital program files of Visual C++ and deleting it can render some applications unusable.

However, if you suspect that there’s a virus in your PC, I suggest you install a proper security software like Microsoft Security Essentials and do a complete system scan with it. Hopefully, that should take care of the infections.
