Three ways to organize your life online

Let’s face it: sometimes we need help organizing our lives. But luckily there are online web apps that can help boost our productivity by saving time for more enjoyable things. I want to show you three popular websites that will help organize your daily tasks, finances, and health using free Web apps.

Organize your daily tasks

Remember the Milk logo The classic web application Remember the Milk will help manage your daily tasks. Microsoft Outlook users know how valuable it is to track your daily and weekly tasks. Now you can do it online and for free. Remember the Milk can remind you by sending an email or by instant messenger. Remind your family to do all of their chores by sharing your tasks with them. Exporting your tasks into Microsoft Outlook is easy by clicking the iCalendar button. Remember the Milk produces an app for your cell phone too. Just about every cell phone platform is covered by them.

Organize your finances

Mint.comMint.com downloads and categorizes your financial transactions automatically for you. This saves you so much time. Mint points out where you are spending all of your money and your net worth. A one-time setup is required, to enter all of your bank information into Mint. This might seem scary for some, but they guarantee to keep your information safe. Intuit, the software company that makes Quicken bought the website in November of 2009, so I would trust them; 1.5 million users do. Mint.com also can help save money by comparing your current bank accounts, credit cards, brokerage, and 401(k) to the best products out there. Again, this one is free. An Iphone App is available.

Organize Your Health Records

Microsoft HealthVaultMicrosoft HealthVault is a new web app to manage your family’s health records. I recommend signing up for the Mayo Clinic Health Manager, as well. It’s one in a handful of web apps on Microsoft HealthVault. Mayo Clinic Health Manager

The Mayo Clinic Health Manager app lets you enter all of your health information in one place. This saves you and your doctor a lot of time, because he or she is going to ask you all of these questions anyway. Be prepared for your doctor visit by bringing all of that information with you. Use the printout feature in the Mayo Clinic Health Manager. Microsoft HealthVault syncs with some medical devices like blood pressure and diabetes glucose testers. It uses the data from your devices to track your progress.
