How to change your display name on Facebook?

Well all right, not many of us would use this option too often, but those of you who are interested in changing their display names in Facebook profiles would find this useful and handy. So here’s how you change your display name in a Facebook profile:

1) Click on the settings link located at the top right corner of your profile page.
2) You would see a heading by the name “Name”, click on the “Change” link next to it.
3) Enter your name and alternate name (usually your nickname) in relevant the text box, hit the change name button. You would reach a page prompting you to check “I confirm this is a legitimate request” and confirm your request. Hit the confirm button once you read the terms and conditions.
4) You will get a confirmation mail for the same to your email account.
