Firefox Addon – Resurrect Pages
Sometimes while browsing the web we might stumbled upon pages which are not available for browsing. This can happen for a number of reasons: the link is “broken”, the entire website is experiencing technical difficulties, the web site was slahdotted or dugg and it’s therefore anavailable.
In such cases, Firefox normally displays the Server not Found or Unable to Connect error messages.
Resurrect Pages is a nice Firefox extension which allows us to try and retrieve a copy of the “broken”web page we try to display from one of following major search engines caches:
- CoralCDN
- Google Cache
- Yahoo! Cache
- The Internet Archive
- MSN Cache
When using Resurrect Pages be aware of the fact that a cache of the web page might not always be available, and if available it might not be an actualized copy.
