How to disable the desktop cleaning wizard ?
Not long ago, a colleague asked me if i am familiar with a simple trick he can use in order to get rid of the (annoying?) desktop cleaning wizard. This Windows XP utility usually pops up every 60 days and prompts you to clean up unused desktop icons.
Follow this short procedure in order to disable the desktop wizard:
- Right click your Desktop
- Click Properties
- Navigate to the Desktop tab
- Click Customize Desktop
- Uncheck Run Desktop cleaning Wizard every 60 days
