Open a command prompt in the Windows Explorer





Here is a quick trick you can use in order to open a command prompt in the folder you are browsing with Windows Explorer:

  • Open Windows Explorer
  • Right Click the folder
  • Hold down the Shift key
  • Righ click and click Open Command Windows here.

    Are you familiar with Windows XP powertoys? Probably so… wouldn’t hurt to mention the command line powertoy which enables this functionality in Windows XP.
