		<description>Brian, your wrong. It speeds it up because the boot parameters aren&#039;t as clotted and the OS isn&#039;t lagging to find it. There are start up benchmarks that prove this microsoft glitch.

Also enabling 2 processors in msconfig shaves your start time.
Its a glitch,and it seems illogical but its true.</description>

		<description>This is not accurate.  Changing the option specified only speeds up the system when multiple OSs are installed, Vista is the boot loader, (instead of GRUB, or other boot loaders) and Vista is set as the default OS to boot into.</description>
