Change Windows Explorer default startup folder in Vista
Changing the default startup folder on Microsoft Windows Vista
By default, when we start Windows Explorer (from the Start || All Programs || Accessories path), it opens showing the user’s default Documents folder. What if we would like it to open at C:\ instead ?
Use the following procedure in order to modify your Vista default startup folder:
- Click Start, click All Programs and then Accesories
- Right click Windows Explorer, and click Properties
- Modify the Target field to read %SystemRoot%\Explorer.exe /n, /e, C:\
- Click OK.
Enjoy!

How may we change the default display when we right click START, then left click EXPLORE? THis seems to be a different EXPLORE than what is cited above.
It didn’t work for me. I rather included the folder location in Start in text box and it worked for Windows Explorer but not when accessing it form right-clicking Start button.
Thanks
