Multiple Home pages in Firefox

Firefox features the possibility to set multiple home pages. This can be specially handy if you maintain a personal page in both Google and Yahoo (or others), and you would like to have them open by default when you start your browser.

Be aware that this new feature introduces a performance degradation in Firefox startup as multiple pages are open.

How to configure multiple home pages in Firefox?

  • Open Firefox
  • Click Tools || Options
  • In the Home Page section, located at the top of the Main tab specify your home pages URLs separated with a “|”

  • Click OK
  • Restart Firefox

    Being fairly inept, I did not know how to do this until I read the helpful suggestion above. I then had to find the ‘|’ icon – it’s on the same key as the \ button! Thanks so much.
